Hello Everyone
So as some of you may (or may not) have realized, I locked up our blog for privacy reasons. So hopefully I have given everyone access....
I think I am going to work backwards....
I thought today would be a great time to update the blog since we are stuck at home because its SNOWING outside!!!!! I have never seen something so beautiful, such a Californian : ) I had heard last week that it was supposed to snow on Monday/Tuesday and was told by a few of my c0-workers that I should take my computer home just in case. Just in case of what? Well this city does not know how to function when it snows. Basically it has been snowing since last night and I would say we are close to a foot of fresh snow. This is actually not typical weather for London. Most people have said that IF it snows, its not much and it never really sticks. The locals have said that it hasn't snowed like this in over 20 years! And as a result the public transport just doesn't work today. So people are just playing in the park in the snow, everyone is a kid today : ) We will post pics of this soon!
Saturday night was my friend (and London running buddy) Danielle's 30th birthday (It was also Julie's birthday, Happy Bday Jules). And what better way to celebrate than to have a 70's and 80's Fancy Dress party (aka costume party). Please see pics....it was fabulous!
As most of you know I have signed up for the London Marathon. Training is in full force as proved by my 12 mile run from Clapham (south London) to Hampstead (north London) on Saturday before the Fancy Dress party. It wasn't terrible...there is hope! Although it was bloody freezing and by the end I could no longer feel my fingers : ) I thought to myself, well that was fun...can't wait to double that! As part of running I need to raise £1,500 so if you feel so inclined to help me reach my goal please refer to my fundraising website:

Chris and his mates (Chad, Declan, and James) decided that they would ride their bikes to Brighton (a beach town about an hour outside of London) last weekend. Their "princesses" could ride over on the train. Lets just say that what was supposed to take 3 hours took 6 and came with many hilarious stories. Chad fell off of his bike 4 times, James' bike broke mid cycle and he had to catch a taxi to Brighton, and Declan ran into the back of Chris when Chris had to make an emergency stop in order to avoid a car. All in all, they had a good time but may have been a little jealous of us girls who took the train out to meet them : )
Randy & Gina will be coming for a visit, they arrive on Sunday and we are looking forward to showing them our new home...away from home! Julie and Steve move here at the end of April, Tiff and Sam arrive for a visit the beginning of May, and Em & Christian in July.
We are headed to Barcelona with about 10 of our friends on Valentines Day weekend and are really looking forward to it!
