Hello All
Sorry for the delay in posting pictures and new updates. Chris and I spent last weekend in Belgium, mostly enjoying a little town called Brugge and spending a few hours at the end of the weekend in Brussels. We took the Eurostar and I was a little bit nervous knowing that we would be traveling under the English Channel.....just a weird thought. But then the more I thought about it the more I realized that I am in a tube everyday that I sometimes believe might be in the center of the earth because its so far underground. Taking the train is a great way to travel because you are able to look out the window the entire time and take in the beautiful sights! We really enjoyed that. Brugge was wonderful, its such a quaint little town with lots of cobblestone streets, beautiful Gothic style buildings, chocolate shops, and pubs. I think I ate chocolate from 3 or 4 different shops just because :) Thanks to Pete & Azure, I tried muscles a few weeks ago. Belgium is known for their muscles and frites so I partook in my first full serving. Chris thought they were gross, but I am definitely a fan! So this may mean I will have to eat oysters on the half soon with my dad! We visited an art museum and looked at some very interesting art. Most of it was dated from between 1400-1800, which is just amazing to me. There was one series of sketches by an artist that portrayed scenes of the Crucifixion that I was really fascinated by. The intricacies that the artist captured were really wonderful. It rained most of the time we were there on Saturday, but was beautiful on Sunday. So we rode bicycles for a few hours on Sunday to see more of the city. It was a really wonderful trip. We left Brugge and headed to Brussels for a few hours prior to going home. I think every where we have been is neat in its own way, but I can say that I am without a doubt thus far so completely happy with our decision to settle in London (for those who don't know we almost went to Brussels or Luxembourg rather than London). Brussels had a wonderful city centre and Chris and I sat in a little pub that overlooks the beautiful sites in Brussels. We met an Italian who was trying to learn to speak English so he practiced with us and I actually had to pull out a little of my Spanish in order for us to communicate (the romantic languages can be somewhat interchangeable, apparently). The ease of travel here is quite amazing, we can't wait to experience more places!

Tu comio mejiilones en Brussels! - jaja. Estoy contento oír que tu disfrutas de alimento verdadero, no mas platos de lechuga o entradas sin queso. Ahora es chocolate simplemente porque! =)
